Timbers single-game tickets on sale this Saturday

PORTLAND, Ore. — Individual-game tickets for the 2008 Portland Timbers and Portland Beavers seasons at PGE Park go on sale Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m., it was announced today.

Tickets for the 87-plus events on tap for the busy 2008 season will be available at PGE Park in addition to area Ticketmaster outlets. Additionally, single-game tickets can be purchased by phone at (503) 224-4400 or online at www.ticketmaster.com and www.pgepark.com.

Fans who purchase five or more tickets on March 15 will receive $15 in PGE Park Bucks, which are redeemable on a dollar-to-dollar basis for the purchase of food, beverages and merchandise at Beavers and Timbers games this season.

As part of Saturday’s opening day for single-game ticket sales, the Beavers and Timbers Team Stores at PGE Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 15. Fans will receive a 10-percent discount on team merchandise and apparel with the purchase of $50 or more. Hot dogs, popcorn and other concession items will also be available during Saturday’s event.

The Beavers begin their 72-game home schedule Thursday, April 3, when they take on the Fresno Grizzlies in the Pacific Coast League opener for both clubs. The Timbers open the USL First Division campaign at PGE Park when they play host to the Puerto Rico Islanders on Thursday, April 17.

Previously, Beavers and Timbers tickets were available exclusively as part of the teams’ full- and partial-season ticket plans. On March 15, fans will be able to purchase single-game tickets to any Beavers’ and Timbers’ home games.

Beavers individual-game tickets start at $8, while Timbers single-game tickets start at $11.

A host of convenient and affordable ticket plans are currently available by contacting the PGE Park ticket office at (503) 553-5555. As an added amenity this season, fans that purchase a reserved-seating plan will receive a complimentary all-day, all-zone TriMet pass for each of the games included in their ticket package.

PGE PARK BOX OFFICE HOURS: Starting March 15, regular PGE Park box office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
