Biography:
McLaughlin enters his fourth season in the USL First Division with the Timbers in 2009.

2008: Ranked among the leading scorers for the Atlanta Silverbacks with six goals and three assists. He appeared in all 30 regular-season matches with Atlanta and was named the USL First Division Team of the Week in Weeks 5, 18 and 23.

2007: Was traded from Atlanta to the Montreal Impact on Jan. 11, before being traded a second time to the Vancouver Whitecaps prior to the start of the season on April 11. He played in 19 games for the Whitecaps and tallied an assist.

2006: Started his professional career with the Atlanta Silverbacks and played in all 28 matches during his rookie season. He recorded five goals and two assists during the 2006 season.

College: Recorded 15 goals and 13 assists during his collegiate career at UAB. Following his freshman season in 2000, he ventured on a two-year mission and returned to the field in 2003 to play in 16 games as a sophomore. McLaughlin captained the Blazers his junior season and led them to a third place finish the Conference USA tournament. He led the team in scoring his senior season with five goals and eight assists and received numerous accolades for his performance, including a NSCAA All-South Region third-team selection and All-C-USA second-team honors. Following his collegiate career, McLaughlin played one season with the Augusta Fireball of the Premier Development League in 2005; he scored seven goals in 12 games that season.
