Biography:
Nimo returns to Portland for a second season while on loan from Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake.
 
2009: Joined the Timbers while on a season-long loan from MLS’ Salt Lake ... Started six of his 23 appearances for Portland during the regular season ... Recorded a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Charleston Aug. 8 ... Named to the USL First Division Team of the Week in Week 18 ... Scored a goal in a 3-3 draw in the second leg of the Timbers’ semifinal series against Vancouver ... Started all three of Portland's international exhibition matches.

2008: Started 10 MLS Reserve Division games for Real Salt Lake and tallied a reserve team-high four assists in his rookie campaign ... He appeared in each of Real Salt Lake's international exhibition matches against Santos Laguna (Mexico), Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica) and U.A.N.L. Tigres (Mexico) ... Scored his first MLS goal against Santos Laguna in the 2008 XanGo Cup on July 9 ... Selected 17th overall (second round) by RSL in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft ... Is a member of MLS's Generation adidas.

National Team: Invited to the U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla. in January 2007 ... appeared in 16 matches and recorded six goals and two assists in 2007 with the U.S. U-17 National Team ... helped the U-17s qualify for the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea ... started all four games in the tournament and recorded an assist to lead the U-17s to the Round of 16 ... Joined the U.S. U-20 National Team in January 2008 and scored in his debut with the team against Mexico's Club America during the 2008 Copa Chivas tournament ... Has also seen time for the U-20s during the Campos Verdes Interntaional Tournament in Portugal, and in matches against Cape Verde Islands, Portugal, and Guatemala.

Personal: Born in Monrovia, Liberia, Nimo and his family lived in a refugee camp in Ghana before they were granted asylum and moved to Portland, Ore., in 1999 when he was just nine years old ... He starred at Benson High School and earned Portland Interscholastic League MVP honors and was named a Parade High School All-American in 2006 ... Joined the U-17 Residency program upon receiving U.S. citizenship in 2006.
