Biography:
Nishimura joins the Timbers after seven seasons in the Japan's J-League from 2001-08.

CAREER: A native of Tokyo, Japan, started his professional career in the J-League with the Urawa Red Diamonds in 2001 ... Played with Urawa through the 2004 season and helped the club finish the 2003-04 season in second place in J-League 1 ... Joined Omiya Ardija starting in the 2004-05 season and aided in the clubs promotion from J-League 2 into J-League 1 ... Played for Omiya Ardija through the 2007-08 season ... In total played in 90 league matches during his career in Japan. 

COLLEGE/YOUTH: Attended Kokushikan University from 1997-2000 ... While in school, his team captured the All-Japan Prime Minister Cup ... He was a part of Japan’s youth national team system, competing at the U-14 level.
